A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive program(s) offered by the institution:
Our Arts CARES program is a one-week event in which students participate during the winter break ("reading week"). The program focuses generally on social sustainability. Students get volunteer internship placements in community organizations, most of them connected with social justice issues. This past year we also added a few internships for organizations working on environmental sustainability. The program is an immersive experience since students do nothing during that week but work with the organizations for which they've volunteered.
