UQ Wellness Program
Based on the four pillars of wellness as evidenced throughout literature, the UQ Wellness Program focusses on Psychological Wellbeing, Physical Health, Lifestyle Factors and Organisational Engagement. This program is available to all academic and professional staff and HDR students and commenced in 2010. Link to program here:

Employee Assistance Program
Benestar is the Employee Assistance Provider for UQ. This service is available to all academic and professional staff and their immediate family members. The EAP service offers proactive health and wellbeing support, as well as counselling services. Link to EAP service here:

Workplace Psychologist
The workplace psychologist assists in the occupational management of staff impacted by a non-compensable mental health condition. This may include return to work programs, referral options (including to the EAP) and general workplace support.

Mental Health Strategy
The UQ Mental Health Strategy (2018-2020), sets out our university-wide approach to mental health. It ensures that mental health is included as a key priority in decision making at UQ.
The strategy was developed in consultation with UQ staff and students and draws upon international best-practice. It outlines a stepped-care model to change culture, build on the strengths of our community and tailor support to individual requirements. MHS here:
