We conduct evaluations in ways that meet the intent of this credit. The Benefits Task Force conducted a survey of faculty and staff members regarding benefits and work/life matters in spring 2010. The information below is an example of the 2008 faculty satisfaction survey. The survey focused on multiple facets related to job satisfaction and stress, including: (1) tenure process practices and clarity, (2) reasonableness of tenure process/standards, (3) resources to support teaching and research, (4) policy effectiveness in areas related to mentoring, performance reviews, childcare, stop the clock, work-life balance etc., and (5) climate, culture, and collegiality.
