Faculty and staff compensation is reviewed annually in conjunction with the university’s budget planning process. In the annual review the university assesses market competitiveness nationally and locally and adjusts wage rates accordingly. The Budget Task Force process annually includes a review of the competitiveness of faculty and staff compensation (salary and benefits). A special Benefits Task Force recently conducted a comprehensive review of the faculty and staff benefits programs at Puget Sound.
