As part of the university's master plan, stormwater runoff is curtailed to meet LEED for New Construction Credit SS 6.1. The Facilities Services Department also will develop a stormwater master plan, which will be incorporated into future construction and renovation plans.

There is an underground storm water detention tank near Wyatt Hall that collects water from that building and some drainage west of the building. There also are two oil separating catch basins near Wheelock Student Center. Additionally, there is an underground filtration system at the Facilities Services Complex under a campus driveway.
