Does the institution have an on-campus garden where students are able to gain organic farming and/or gardening experience?:
Yes
None
A brief description of the garden:
Several years ago a group of dedicated students revived a languishing student garden on our campus. Initially focusing on permaculture techniques, they have continued with organic gardening practices though the garden is not certified. A dedicated student group helps keep it flourishing and has been awarded grants from the Sustainability Advisory Committee in the past to help with garden projects. In 2010 a student grounds keeping position was established to enhance year-round care and support.
