A brief description of how the institution ensures compliance with green building design and construction guidelines and policies:
All new construction and major renovation projects > $5 million are required by the January 2018 Sustainability Plan to be LEED or WELL certified. The University has developed and ensures compliance with design standards that stipulate sustainable and energy conserving measures for all new construction and renovation projects. The standards are provided to all design professionals, and FM's on-staff architects, engineers, and project managers ensure full compliance with these standards throughout the design and construction process.
