A brief description of how green cleaning is incorporated into cleaning contracts:
All contractors are required to buy green materials and equipment that also fall into this category from a noise pollution perspective. It is built into the RFPs and RFQs. They are also required to provide sufficient training in green cleaning techniques and SOPs.

A brief description of the energy management or benchmarking program:
The University has an Energy Operations Center with steam, chilled water, and electric usage dashboards as well as automated fault detection and diagnostics that is manned 24/7/365. Energy Hippo EEM Suite energy management software is used to track all energy usage and demand and to assess performance, design and implement action plans, and evaluate progress in a monthly report. Energy data for all buildings is entered into ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, which is assessed by the Pittsburgh 2030 District against their goals.
