The John C. Mascaro Faculty Fellows program was established by the Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation with the direct support of the University of Pittsburgh's Provost to enhance the university’s mission of interdisciplinary excellence in research and education. Faculty members from all disciplines across the University of Pittsburgh are eligible.

They created and co-teach the "Current Issues in Sustainability" course and the Sustainability Capstone course as well as promote interdisciplinary research with their collaborations.

Each Sustainability Faculty Fellow is provided $25,000 in support to be used for course release, professional development, training etc.
