Has the institution conducted a survey or other evaluation that allows for anonymous feedback to measure employee satisfaction and engagement during the previous three years?:
Yes

Percentage of employees assessed, directly or by representative sample:
100

A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

HR received approval from uOttawa’s Administration Committee before retaining the services of Mercer as a third neutral party. The external assessing company managed the survey process and provided the analysis of the data.
The University did not have access to any raw data. Reports were generated for teams of 10 and more employees in order to ensure anonymity.

A communication plan was used internally to inform and update all employees of the survey process. Union representatives were invited to an information session before the launch of the survey and they were invited to a session on the presentation of data. Respective data reports were presented to vice-presidents, associate vice-presidents, deans and directors.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:

An institutional action plan was presented by HR to the Administration committee. The action plan was prepared and fully realized for 2017-2018 and 2018-2019.
