Mobile Community Garden Plots
A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
The University of Ottawa is an extremely compact campus with not a great deal of green space. In order to find new ways to increase the functional green spaces on campus, a mobile community garden plot programs was created. Currently the existing mobile plots are deployed to areas of the campus in the summer time that would benefit from increased greenery.
This program expands the current community garden network and helps the campus determine which new locations might be considered for future garden developments.
