The Bike Co-op is an inclusive DIY space for beginners as well as experts, equipped with all the tools and expertise needed to repair or build a bicycle.
The main objective is to transmit cycling repair abilities to clients in a warm and welcoming environment.
The co-op is unique in the city for many reasons: a large workspace, its accessibility, the reduced cost of items in the Babac and Shimano catalogues, a publication covering all aspects of bicycle mechanics; free parts, chassis, wheels, etc.
They regularly organize free educational workshops on bicycle mechanics as well as fun and exciting events throughout the year.
Among these events, the most popular are the bike disco, the bicycle drive-in theatre, the bicycle brewery tours, the spring preparation day.
Undergraduate students are automatically members and have free access to all services offered at the co-op. They also offer numerous volunteer opportunities divided into four (4) categories: mechanic, shop assistant, bicycle assemblers, other tasks.

The People’s Republic of Delicious (PRD) is an alternative food collective based at uOttawa serving free meals to students, faculty members, campus visitors and the surrounding community. They save and serve on average 50 pounds of food each event which would otherwise go to waster, while feeding lunch and giving away free groceries to upwards of 50 individuals every week. The group takes the "imperfect" food grocery stores would have thrown away, and feed people for free
While most members of PRD are students, we serve meals to students, faculty members, campus visitors and the surrounding community.
