Has the institution engaged in a structured assessment process during the previous three years to improve diversity, equity and inclusion on campus?:
Yes

A brief description of the assessment process and the framework, scorecard(s) and/or tool(s) used:

The Federal Contractor's Program requires that all permanent employees be offered the opportunity to fill out a self-identification questionnaire. This data is then compared against government set targets for all positions. When there are gaps in representation (under-representation), we are obligated to set short and long term objectives where the goal is to remove any known barriers. An assessment is set to begin for a campus wide evaluation, by the ad hoc Diversity and Inclusivity committee.

Does the assessment process address campus climate by engaging stakeholders to assess the attitudes, perceptions and behaviors of faculty, staff, administrators and students, including the experiences of underrepresented groups?:
Yes

Does the assessment process address student outcomes related to diversity, equity and success (e.g. graduation/success and retention rates for underrepresented groups)?:
No

Does the assessment process address employee outcomes related to diversity and equity (e.g. pay and retention rates for underrepresented groups)?:
Yes

A brief description of the most recent assessment findings and how the results are used in shaping policy, programs and initiatives:

The University of Ottawa has employment equity gaps for all four designated groups. We therefore have systemic issues, requiring a systematic review of our current policies, programs, and initiatives. They will have to be modified in order to eliminate barriers to these groups. We are beginning a comprehensive assessment on how to overcome these challenges on campus soon - it is currently in development.

Are the results of the most recent structured diversity and equity assessment shared with the campus community?:
Yes

A brief description of how the assessment results are shared with the campus community:

Results will be shared publicly on the uOttawa website once all the calculations and narrative pieces are written. Presentations have been made to HR leadership, to senior leaders, and to deans and union officials.

Are the results (or a summary of the results) of the most recent structured diversity and equity assessment publicly posted?:
