A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):

Every new employee is asked to attend orientation training for the campus. This orientation includes various elements about sustainability including harassment and discrimination, diversity and inclusion, accessibility and accommodation, employment equity, mental health, and conflict management.

Additionally, a short presentation is given by the Office of Campus Sustainability Manager to incoming Facilities employees. Other employees across campus can book a sustainability orientation presentation through the Office of Campus Sustainability. Sustainability initiatives and goals are addressed within this presentation including: energy, waste, buildings, green space, food systems, transportation, emissions, water, and purchasing sustainability targets and programs.
