Students in residences are addressed upon moving in that they may be a part of the Green Reps program as well information given to students as part of a welcome package informing them of recycling and composting procedures on campus.

Yes

All students are invited during their orientation week to visit the University of Ottawa's permanent FreeStore within which they have the opportunity to pick up things that they need while learning a valuable lesson about consumption behaviours.

The Dump and Run occurs during student move in/out period which allows students to donate their unnecessary items to the FreeStore and local charities- promoting the reduction of waste and socio-economic benefits of the program.
