Has the institution implemented a campus-wide inventory system to facilitate the reuse of laboratory chemicals?:
Yes

A brief description of the program:

HECHMET is an inter-university chemical sharing program to prevent unnecessary purchasing of products and to minimise waste disposal. It all began by a few universities getting together in 2006 to discuss chemical re-use and sharing. They founded a type of coop with Queens University, Concordia, Royal Military College and most recently Ryerson.
They then applied for a federal government grant to build an inventory system. They now have a joint catalogue system with one server at the University of Ottawa which lets them share their information with the other universities involved.
