A brief description of the program(s), (s), including availability, participation levels, and specifics about discounts or subsidies offered (including pre-tax options):
1) The University of Ottawa and the SFUO offer the U Pass: 145$/semester for students. The pass also gives access to the O Train. It is available during the academic year only.
2) Eco- Pass: Available to all staff. Payroll deduction program with a reduced monthly rate compared to regular passes (12% savings).
3) The university also offers a shuttle service: 3 buses on two different routes. One bus goes back and forth to Carleton and another two buses travel from the university to Roger-Guindon campus. These shuttles run all day with 20 minutes intervals during the academic year. During the summer, there is no shuttle to Carleton, though there is one that goes to Roger-Guindon twice a day. Furthermore, there is the possibility of receiving bus tickets for 2 round trips a week for eligible graduate students who need to travel to Carleton for thesis work.
