Does the institution hold major events related to sustainability, such as conferences, speaker series, or symposia, that have students as the intended audience?:
Yes

A brief description of the event(s):

There are several sustainability themed events that take place over the academic year. Most of these events are organized by the students themselves. Only two examples of the dozen or so are featured below.

The Sustainable Business Conference is an annual event that encourages students to think differently about business practices and includes speakers that have practical knowledge and experience. The event also embodies the spirit of sustainability; all the food is fair-trade and organic; there is a zero waste goal for the conference.

The Green Campus Lecture Series is a project of the Green Campus environmental club. Members of the campus community, as well as experts from off campus, are invited to discuss topics of interest in the field of sustainability. Each lecture is followed by questions and debate from the audience.
