A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:
"In collaboration with the City of Eugene, UO brought a JUMP operated bike share system to Eugene in 2018. Now operated by a non-profit, Cascadia Mobility, there are more than 45 hubs and 325 bicycles in the main system area. There are 14 stations located on campus property and users can also lock up at any UO bike rack for a small additional fee ($2).
The University contributes funding so that students and employees get discounted access to the system, including a 50% discount to the monthly plan. In the month of October, 2022 users on UO discounted plans made up 52% of unique users and took 72% of bike share trips."

UO has contracted with ZipCar to place ten shared vehicles on campus, located in key locations on campus, including near the student union and the residence halls. Employees and students receive discounts to the signup fee.

There are 8 Chargepoint CT4021 dual port Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations located around campus, which provide charging for 16 vehicles. There are an additional 3 single port Level 2 charging stations, for a total of 19 electric vehicle charging spaces on campus. The new garage on campus has conduit and electrical systems to support a total of 30 Level 2 charging spaces.

Sustainable transportation initiatives include the following:
1) Campus planning goals prioritize sustainable modes (walking and biking) over single occupancy vehicles. The Campus Plan also states that no new parking should be added in the center of campus.
2) The UO Bicycle Plan, which lays out a set of policies and practices that encourage bike use on campus. The University of Oregon is a Bicycle Friendly University with a gold rating from the League of American Bicyclists. This rating is the result of a campus bicycle support network of wayfinding signs, fix-it stations, and the UO Bike Program's efforts to support biking.
3) UO purchases a group pass to the local transit system (Lane Transit District) so that all employees and students can ride the bus for free.
4) The UO has policies that support telecommuting and flex schedules, depending on the job position and duties.
5) The UO uses RideAmigos to coordinate ride matching for faculty, staff and students. Provided by ODOT, this program automatically matches people by geography and schedule into potential carpools.
