Part 1. Student commute modal split

Has the institution gathered data about student commuting behavior?:

A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:
A commute survey was conducted during the last two weeks of October, 2022. Survey was emailed to a random sample comprising 1/4 students. The survey was incentivized with a drawing for one of 6 gift cards, ranging in value from $25 to $50. Of the 5679 students invited to the survey, 577 completed the commute questions. Students were asked to pick from a list their primary commute mode. Those who identified using a motor vehicle were asked whether their vehicle was HEV, PHEV or BEV.

A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about employee commuting:
A commute survey was conducted during the last two weeks of October, 2022. Survey was emailed to each employee at the Eugene campus. The survey was incentivized with a drawing for one of 6 gift cards, ranging in value from $25 to $50. Of the 4789 employees invited to the survey, 1265 completed the commute questions. Students were asked to pick from a list their primary commute mode. Those who identified using a motor vehicle were asked whether their vehicle was HEV, PHEV or BEV.
