Has the institution engaged in a structured assessment process during the previous three years to improve diversity, equity and inclusion on campus?:
Yes

A brief description of the assessment process and the framework, scorecard(s) and/or tool(s) used:

Guided by the structure of the IDEAL Framework, 35 schools, colleges, and administrative units created detailed 3-year Diversity Action Plans (DAPs) with individualized metrics on a wide range of outcomes. Most every school, college, and administrative unit on campus has diversity, equity, and inclusion committees which lead the implementation of these campus DAPs. These plans are evaluated annually and outcomes reported to the Vice President for Equity and Inclusion, as well as the President and Provost of the university. The IDEAL Framework is structured around Inclusion, Diversity, Evaluation, Achievement, and Leadership. More information can be found online at:

A brief description of the most recent assessment findings and how the results are used in shaping policy, programs, and initiatives:

The information tracked by the Office of Institutional Research is used for benchmarking against other institutions, self-evaluation, and goal setting. The outcomes of specific Diversity Action Plans are assessed on a biannual basis, with the last showcase occurring in 2018: https://inclusion.uoregon.edu/content/showcase-oregon-sessions . Each unit establishes, assesses, reflects, and sets new goals for their DAPs. The President's office is currently considering next steps to further and deepen this work, including an RFP (led by the Division of Equity and Inclusion) for a comprehensive campus climate survey.
