The UO was first certified as a Bee Campus USA in 2018.

The University has committed to practices that support pollinators on campus, including integrated pest management that minimizes the use of pesticides and growing pollinator-friendly plants on campus.

The Eugene campus of the University of Oregon has obtained the certification.
