Does the institution have an employee assistance or wellness program that provides counseling, referral, and well-being services to employees?:
Yes

A brief description of the employee wellness program, policy, or practice:

The UO uses the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) as its employee assistance program provider. This is a free, confidential service that can assist employees with problems that interfere with their day-to-day activities.

In addition, in fall 2010, the UO launched the Healthy Campus Initiative, with help from a $1 million grant from PacificSource Health Plans. The Healthy Campus Initiative is based on the belief that healthy students, faculty, and staff are more likely to achieve the ambitious goals set forth in campus strategic and academic plans. Through collaborative efforts across campus, the Healthy Campus Initiative hopes to create a culture in which the pursuit of a balanced lifestyle is valued, physical and mental health is fostered, and all members of the university community are encouraged to take responsibility for choosing to be well.
