A brief description of the sustainability trainings and professional development opportunities available to staff :
The UO offers opportunities to enhance knowledge, skills, and abilities to employees (faculty, staff, and administration). For those individuals and groups who reflect on their learning needs and seek out learning opportunities, Organizational Development and Training (ODT) helps meet that need. ODT utilizes a distributed network approach where they tap into existing learning providers, as well as offer a variety of resources to meet individual learning preferences. ODT brings people together to learn in an interactive, purposeful, challenging, and supportive environment, resulting in new knowledge and skills that enhance confidence and competence in the UO workforce.
ODT offers several workshops on topics ranging from facilitation, to computer skills, to business development. They also offer certificate programs for faculty, staff and administration.
Additionally the UO offers tuition waiver or support to staff and family members.
