A brief description of the program:
The Recycling Program sets up extensive temporary recycling collection sites for materials typically generated during Move-in Week. These temporary sites are set up along the high-traffic areas around the residence halls. These sites collect corrugated cardboard, block styrofoam, plastic films/bags and zippered bedding bags, glass/metals/plastics and paper. In anticipation of the large influx of cardboard during move-ins, the Recycling Program coordinates twice-daily pick-ups by the cardboard hauler. Student labor, both on foot and in vans, services these temporary collection sites multiple times per day.
