A brief description of how the institution meets the criteria:
UO does seek to support minority, women owned, and emerging small businesses (MWESBs). UO Purchasing and Contracting Services, Facilities Services and Capital Construction actively participate in many MWESB conferences and tradeshows each year. In May 2010, UO held its own reverse vendor trade fair encouraging campus departments to do business with MWESB contractors, and the UO is planning to hold another one in January 2011.
