Does the institution offer at least one immersive, sustainability-focused educational study program that is one week or more in length?:

A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive program(s) offered by the institution, including how each program addresses the social, economic, and environmental dimensions of sustainability:

The Faculty of Social Science and Humanities works in partnership with a group, Horizons of Friendship https://www.horizons.ca/travel-with-us to send a small contingent of practicum student abroad each year -- they went to Central America in 2018/2019 to work with local groups abroad that are engaged in sustainable development work. This program empowers people and strengthens communities to eliminate poverty and injustice across Central America & Mexico.

Other sustainability related immersive programs: Alternative reading week activities- covers various themes; and UOIT AIESEC chapter placements: Non-profit, youth run volunteer opportunity for 6+ week, to provide a positive impact globally and contribute to Sustainable Development Goals (https://aiesec.org/global-volunteer).
