A brief summary of papers, guides, presentations, and other resources the institution has developed to share their sustainability experience with other institutions:

Linda Kurtos, Director of the Office of Sustainability is a Co-Chair of the Green Ribbon Commission here in South Bend, IN. This commission is made up of leaders from other local higher education institutions, local government and non-profit agencies.

Linda Kurtos, Director of the Office of Sustainability, was a member of the planning committee that brought Greentown to South Bend in 2013. This event brought together local and regional higher education institutions, governments, businesses and non-profits together to discuss sustainability in our region.
Erin Hafner, Senior Programs Manager in our Office of Sustainability, presented on a webinar in collaboration with Greenbiz, Waste Management and Arizona State University. The webinar titled 'Sustain Your Campus. Sustain Your Brand.
The Impact of Sustainability on Your College or University Brand' took place in September of 2013.

Members of the Office of Sustainability presented several programs at the AASHE Conferences since 2011.

The University of Notre Dame is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, the Big Ten Environmental Stewardship Committee and the US Green Building Council.


A brief summary of additional ways the institution collaborates with other campuses to advance sustainability :

Energy competition with Wake Forest. Football opponent. Week leading up to the game, who could save the most energy. Check "Wake Forest" on website.

In September of 2013 we collaborated with Arizona State University to present 'Sustain Your Campus. Sustain Your Brand The Impact of Sustainability on Your College or University Brand' to over 750 representatives from other higher education institutions.
