Does the institution use a centralized energy management system that allows it to track energy consumption and performance in multiple buildings in a central location?:
Yes

A brief description of the management system:

The University employs a couple of systems that allow for the central trending and tracking of energy. The Utilities Department utilizes a power management system called PowerNet which allows them to monitor, control, trend, and alarm electrical issues across the high voltage distribution system of campus. This system allows for real-time monitoring and decision making from an energy perspective. Solid state metering with communication capabilities are standard for all new and renovated facilities with facilities over the past 3 years having their metering be web accessible for monitoring and reporting.
