Currently 43 Departments or Units on campus that sponsor a variety of programs ranging from campus wide events that are open to the public, to targeted trainings and seminars, plus a variety of other activities. These activities are directed toward fulfilling targeted University Strategic goals including:
1. Educate all students to ensure that they are prepared to live and work successfully in a diverse world.
2. Enhance the diversity of the student body.
3. Enhance the diversity of the faculty.
4. Enhance the diversity of the P&S staff.
5. Enhance the diversity of the merit staff.
6. Maintain a welcoming and supportive environment for students.
7. Maintain a welcoming and supportive environment for faculty and staff.
8. Promote success for students who are in the minority.
9. Promote success for faculty and staff who are in the minority.
10. Institutionalize planning related to diversity to assure persistent attention to goals.
11. Allocate funding to support diversity efforts.
12. Measure and report progress on diversity-related efforts
13. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with communities and/or community organizations.
14. Provide faculty and/or staff professional development on diversity.
