A brief description of the institution's indoor air quality plan, policy, and/or practices:
The indoor air quality at UNI is targeted to meet standards set by the American Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers for indoor air quality, specifically standard 62.1-2010. This falls under direct building control. This computerized Direct Digital Control system is used to monitor and control building temperatures and ventilation for over 3.8 million square feet. To optimized energy use, buildings are scheduled in accordance with occupancy hours furnished by the Registrar's office. Additionally, there are a number of avenues for reporting building complaints: reporting to Facilities' management; reporting to the University Health and Safety Committee; reporting to the Physical Plant Safety Committee; reporting to the Department of Public Safety; reporting access issues to the Coordinating Committee on Disability Services; and reporting to the Environmental Health and Safety Office.
