The UNI Entrepreneurship Program has encouraged students to start a number of student run businesses that have become careers. Some of these are fully operational and some are still in the planning stages. They include:
-Single-stream recycling business
-Two wind energy related businesses
-A green cleaning business
-Energy audits
-Green certification consultants
-Organic farming
-Biomass for energy production
