A brief description of programs, policies, infrastructure investments, outreach efforts, and/or other factors that contributed to the diversion rate:
UNI has a number of programs for recycling in various areas on campus. This ranges from a campus wide paper recycling program to a number of units on campus with full service programs. Additionally, reuse programs divert a substantial amount of waste from the landfill into the hands of people in the community and aid in a quarry reclamation project.
