Does the institution have an on-campus garden where students are able to gain organic farming and/or gardening experience?:
A brief description of the garden:
The Prince George Public Interest Research Group (PGPIRG) is a group of students, staff, faculty and community groups that works on issues of public interest, such as the environment and social justice. PGPIRG and UNBC volunteers operate a Sustainable Organic Garden on campus to demonstrate sustainable gardening techniques for northern climates. Various types of vegetables, fruit and flowers are grown in the garden and the space is open to the public.
