A brief description of the socially responsible investment option for retirement plans:
The University of North Texas Retirement Program provides university employees with multiple socially responsible investment options through an Optional Retirement Program or a Tax-Sheltered Account Voluntary 403(b) Plan using one of the following providers who offer socially responsible funds: VALIC, TIAA-CREF, or ING. These funds use social screening, shareholder advocacy, and community investing to influence positive change in the countries and communities in which they invest while at the same time helping UNT employees achieve safe and secure retirement.
