A brief description of the institution’s programs that help increase the diversity of higher education faculty :
The university supports the diversity of higher education by offering numerous financial aid and money management opportunities for under-represented groups to enter the higher education profession. These are found across several units at UNT including, Student Financial Aid and Scholarships, the Student Money Management Center, the Division of Equity and Diversity, and the UNT Career Center. Additionally, the Toulouse Graduate School offers thousands of dollars in scholarships through the Master & Doctoral Fellowships and Thesis/Dissertation Scholarships.
In addition to the Division of Institutional Equity and Diversity, the UNT Counseling and Testing Center offers valuable resources to assist under-represented students throughout their educational experience and provide resources to encourage post-graduate scholarship.
