UNT has numerous scholarship opportunities for low-income students. One of the most prominent scholarship programs is the Emerald Eagle Scholarship. This scholarship provides 4 years of paid tuition and housing for eligible students. Emerald Eagle scholars are given unique opportunities to engage in academic and immersion experiences throughout their college career.

UNT annually awards more than $300 million in financial aid, including more than $25 million in scholarships. About 72 percent of students receive financial aid and scholarships.
