UNT’s Strategic Plan is a framework to guide the growth and progress of the university. Outlined in the Strategic Plan are UNT’s primary goals and key themes, all of which combine to promote UNT as a student-centered public research university. The four key themes of the university include equity & diversity, internationalization, collaboration, and sustainability. As a higher academic institution, UNT recognizes it role in the local and global community and is committed to environmental, social, and economic sustainability. To promote sustainability as a key theme, units across campus work together to lessen the environmental impact of the university, foster a community of inclusion, diversity, & opportunity, and determine the short & long term viability of campus initiatives & practices. To supplement the Strategic Plan, UNT incorporates the key themes of the university in reports that specifically address topics such as planning, development, and research.
