A brief description of the wildlife habitat program, policy, or practice:
UNT makes efforts to leave some land minimally maintained to benefit wildlife on campus. Throughout campus, native plants and sustainable gardening practices benefit native birds, rodents, and insects. The area of university grounds that are currently reserved for wildlife include 75 acres at the Discovery Park campus, 20 acres at the Eagle Point campus, 1 acre at the Life Science Building, 2 acres at the Business Leadership Building, and 30 acres at the new football stadium.
