A brief description of the food donation program:
All surplus food is donated to units across campus. When campus retail operations have left over food items they are donated to the dining halls for consumption by dining hall patrons. Additionally, UNT's dining services develops menus that encourage the use of left over food items. For example, left over chicken is then used in chicken soup.
