A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Currently, UNT receives 40% of its electricity from wind power. Through a partnership between the City of Denton and the Wolf Ridge Wind Farm, Denton Municipal Electric is able to supply the university with clean, renewable energy. Given this municipal partnership, UNT must focus on the remaining 60% of energy that is not currently supplied through wind power.
