As outlined in the Strategic Plan for Research, UNT actively encourages the development of transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary research teams. One of UNT's primary research objectives revolves around the creation of interdisciplinary research clusters. Engagement in these research clusters, or the establishment of additional interdisciplinary teams, is encouraged by the university.
