Where feasible, UNG began retrofitting all of its water foundations to a filtered fountain that includes bottle fill and a counter indicating the number of bottles saved from waste. https://www.elkay.com/products/lzs8wslp.html

The Appalachian Studies Center has several demonstration gardens and sustainable practices.

UNG Facilities' grounds crew is in the process of creating pollinator gardens with small designation signage.
