A brief description of how the results of the assessment(s) are used in shaping policy, programs, and initiatives:
After reviewing results from the climate survey as well as the 2006 report on the campus climate for LGBT people, the Committee on LGBT Equity drafted recommendations for the university community to become a more inclusive environment for LGBT students, faculty and staff, and to encourage knowledge and expression of gender and sexual orientation. The recommendations included adding gender identity and expression in the university non-discrimination policy and fully integrate LGBT equity concerns within the Office of Equal Opportunity.
