A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive experience(s) offered by the institution:
The UNF Environmental Center offers a Transformational Learning Opportunity (TLO) that gives students an opportunity to learn about the St. Johns River, an American Heritage River, through an experiential learning experience. Students who participate in the TLO will stay aboard a houseboat for 10-days with UNF faculty and staff. Using the river and its surroundings as a context to learn, the St. Johns River TLO teaches students about the connections between disciplines by engaging in historic, scientific, artistic, social, engineering and economic educational activities.
