Sustainability Advisory Board
Mission: As North Carolina's premier coastal university, UNCW's Office of Sustainability strives to incorporate sustainable principles into the university's mission of teaching, scholarship, and service in a way that supports campus and community through economic vitality, social equity, and environmental Stewardship.
The Board serves as an advisory group to the Chancellor with recommendations and research. It is comprised of subject experts from a wide range of disciplines, and they evaluate and suggest policies and programming that support the Office of Sustainability's mission.

The Office of Sustainability is located in the Warwick building. A Chief Sustainability Officer, a Sustainability Coordinator, and a Sustainability Assistant staff it. It serves as the hub of sustainability on campus.

There are several sustainability committees at UNCW, each with a specific focus (Housing and Residence Life, Library, etc). Over the years, these committees have held programs that endorse sustainable practices, marketed how to be sustainable on campus and in the surrounding community, and brought educational experiences (such as speakers) to campus. We frequently draw on these groups to help support and advocate for sustainable policy and infrastructure across campus.
