A Bias Education and Response Team was organized during the 2022-23 academic year and is meeting to review existing policies and procedures for reporting and investigating incidents of bias and hate on campus.

UNC Pembroke has numerous student organizations that support the needs of the institution's diverse student body. The Office of Student Inclusion and Diversity's diversity awareness planning committees celebrate the institution's diversity communities and are open to students, faculty, and staff. During the 2022-23 academic years, the institution implemented Employee Resource Communities to support the personal and professional development of faculty and staff, specifically from underrepresented communities.
Support for future academic staff

The R.E.A.C.H Program is designed to increase the number of underrepresented minorities in faculty positions. R.E.A.C.H. aims to create a groundswell of future scholars among American Indian, African American, Hispanic and other underrepresented minorities interested in advanced study in the humanities--although any qualified student is eligible.
