UNCP is the state's first institutional partner in supporting the development of the national plug-in electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This was accomplished in 2015 by partnering with the US Department of Energy Workplace Charging Challenge. Since then we have increased our number of EV charging stations on campus to 10. All EV chargers are open to the public and free of charge.
