A brief description of the methodology used to complete the course inventory :
In the fall of 2014 all of the academic departments on the campus of UNCP were contacted about the courses offered in their department that contain sustainability content. A total of 23 departments were contacted by telephone and/or email. We collected information from 21 departments about both graduate and undergraduate courses. Each course was counted as a single course regardless of the number of offerings or sections. In 2024, the information was cross-checked against the current catalog and additional courses added to the document, based on the 2023-2024 academic catalog.
