A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):
HEALTH (Helping Employees Achieve Lifetime Total Health) is the UNCP Employee Wellness Committee. HEALTH’s primary purpose is to educate UNCP employees and faculty through health promotion programs and activities and education seminars. We strive to encourage the UNCP family to adopt healthier lifestyles and to take steps to prevent illness or disease from starting or getting worse.
HEALTH programming is offered throughout the year, with an aim on providing programs, activities and contests that are universal enough to appeal to the majority of UNCP employees. HEALTH provides education with the intent to help the faculty and staff overcome any predisposed, health-limiting conditions.
